The first "loafers" were invented by Native Americans, simply by tying bands of skin on their feet.
The moccasins as we know them today were launched in the 1930s, when Fred Astaire started using them to dance his tip-tap making them known to the mass public.
Subsequently, university students used them as “must-have” footwear.
Today this comfortable shoe can be worn with denim for a "daytime" look, but celebrities teach us how it is also possible to dress it in suit for a formal outfit.
